Why solo-practice documentation is broken in India

PAIN POINT 1

You're typing while talking to your patient. Eye contact, the bedrock of trust, is the first thing the EMR steals.

PAIN POINT 2

Most clinical AI tools are priced for a 50-doctor hospital. The unit economics don't fit a single-doctor OPD.

PAIN POINT 3

Setup overhead — IT integrations, server installs, nurse training — kills tools before they get used. Anything that requires more than a browser tab won't survive a busy Tuesday.

How TaloeMed fits a single-doctor clinic

  1. 1

    Open Chrome and sign in

There is no app to install, no on-prem server, no IT contract. TaloeMed runs in a browser tab on an ordinary clinic laptop or Chromebook. If your clinic has WiFi, you have everything you need.

  2. 2

Tap record before the patient walks in

TaloeMed listens to the consultation. Telugu-English, Hindi-English, and Tamil-English code-switching are handled at the ASR layer. You keep eye contact with the patient while the system builds the SOAP note.

  3. 3

    Sign off, export, move on

Twelve quality gates run before you see the note. Verifiable PubMed citations are attached to the reasoning. ICD-10 codes attach automatically. Edit anything you want — the doctor always has the final say. Export PDF or DOCX in one click.

What hardware do I need?

A Chrome browser tab on a recent laptop or a Chromebook. A clinic-grade USB or Bluetooth microphone helps in noisy outpatient settings, but the built-in mic is the floor. There is no GPU requirement, no on-prem server, no IT integration. The free tier needs no payment method on file — you can sign up and run a trial session whenever it suits you.

  • Hardware floor: any laptop or Chromebook from 2023 or later
  • Network floor: ordinary clinic WiFi — no enterprise VPN required
  • Microphone: built-in works; clinic-grade USB or Bluetooth recommended for noisy OPDs
  • OS: any modern Chrome browser (Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS)
  • iOS app available for clinicians who prefer documenting on iPad or iPhone
Languages

10 Indic languages with English code-switching

TaloeMed transcribes 10 Indic languages with English code-switching at the ASR layer — not as a post-hoc translation pass. SOAP notes are produced in English by default so they can be exported, audited, and shared without re-translation.

Questions

Frequently asked

What does the free tier actually include?

Seven consultations per day with one specialty selected, full 12-quality-gate validation, verifiable PubMed citations attached to the reasoning, and PDF / DOCX export. No credit card on file. The free tier is intended for solo doctors trialling the workflow before deciding to upgrade.

Do I need a nurse or receptionist to operate TaloeMed?

No. TaloeMed is designed to be operable by a single doctor between patients. There is no setup that requires a second person, and there is no clinical workflow that hands data to a non-clinician before the doctor signs off.

Will TaloeMed work in my Telugu / Hindi / Tamil OPD?

Yes. The ASR engine handles 10 Indic languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Punjabi, and Odia, with English code-switching native. Code-switching is handled at the ASR layer — not as a post-hoc Google Translate round-trip.

Is my patient data safe?

TaloeMed is designed for India's DPDP Act 2023. Phone numbers are SHA-256 hashed in audit logs, no PII is stored in plaintext, sessions are AES-256 encrypted at rest, and SafeExport™ redacts PHI from exported documents. Before ABDM production approval, we will migrate to Indian-hosted servers.
